I have neither a passport nor a WA advanced driver’s license, but this manual Allroad looks great. Sounds like it was actually owned by someone who treated it well. And $6,800... if it were good as advertised, Canadian-doppelganger want.

Yeah we have one somewhere here that’s also listed for 10k (though it doesn’t look as good as the one I posted or yours).
Low miles is actually scarier for me — I’m looking for one where all the things that will fail have already failed and been replaced!

Unintentional puns? How could I have missed such an opportunity to take credit for this... What a chilling development.

That’s a real good one. Owned by an Audi guy also.

With the current exchange rate, that’s like $10k Canadian. :(

Yes, now would be the time for me to exploit the weak Canadian dollar — if I could only cross the border

Can you actually import their cars? If I knew the first thing about Audis, it'd be an entertaining reason to go up there.

Strike that. Just looked up where it is. There's no way I'd make it up there. Way too far.

You can import models from Canada that were also sold in the States, even if it not 25 years old. Examples: B5 Allroad above, Saturn Astra, etc.

When an Allroad showed up at a dealer near me, I briefly considered buying it for my winter car. I then came to my senses and bought a “more reliable” Grand Cherokee.

I didn’t realize that exception existed. I always assume <25 is impossible to import unless it was built specifically for the US market (ex: European delivery cars).

Imagine graduating from college and you get an ok job working for a small firm.
Boeing calls
“Please move to Seattle”
Well what do I do with this 2003 Focus? Rather than selling it and buying another, the government lets you bring it over assuming it was sold in a “significantly similar” fashion.

God I hate it when people put “Rare” in their CL ads. Like it’s an Audi with a six speed, not a freakin 30's Maserati
